    Went for breakfast based on other reviews and it is a hole in the wall next to a gas station.......this is not a bad thing. Placed our oder and food come out fast and hot. They give you lots of meat like bacon or sausage with your meal. For a fast meal this is a great place to stop for a meal.

    Look, the food has always been so-so, and that hasn't changed one bit in the almost 30 years since I moved away from Hawai'i. However, rarely does comfort food also count as "gourmet", and frankly nobody should expect it to. That said, I basically ate my way around O'ahu and the Big Island, and stopped at more L&L's than probably anywhere else because 1) I knew what to expect and 2) I knew I could eat as much of a variety of local food there without being otherwise disappointed. Is it the best local food around? Yeah, not even close. But it's the food I remember, and that's good enough for me.

    This reminds us of old school plate lunches. Good size portions, good prices and large selection. Whenever we as a family can't decide where to go eat, L&L is our default. The staff isn't very friendly but the food comes out fast and is ono delicious.
